Tertiary: Combining one primary with a secondary color Red-orange, Yellow-orange, Yellow-green, Blue-green, Blue-violet, Red-violet
Complimentary Colors directly across from each other on the color wheel Red & Green Blue & Orange Yellow & Violet
Analogous: Colors that are next to each other on the color wheel Warm & Cool Colors
Value: Lightness or darkness of a color Larry Blackwood
Tint: White added to a single color Shade: Black added to a single color
