Description of my town Zagreb is the capital and the largest city of the Republic of Croatia. It is located in the northwest of the country, along the Sava river, at the southern slopes of the Medvednica mountain. Around 800.000 people live in it. It lies at 122m above the sea level. Zagreb is a city with a rich history dating from the Roman times to the present day. It is a city known for its high quality of living, museums, sporting and entertainment events.
Description of my town In the center of the town is the main square called Trg Bana Josipa Jelacica. On the main square are located banks, hotel Dubrovnik, cafès, supermarket and two shopping centers called Nama and Müller. Just behind the main square are the beautiful cathedral and St. Mark’s church. If you go down the Ilica street and turn left into Frankopanska, you would get to Trg marsala Tita where the Croatian National Theatre is located. If you would continue to walk along Savska road, you would get in front of the Mimara Museum. Zagreb also has a river called Sava, Jarun lake and two swimming pools. Next to the train station is a large cinema where I often go see movies with my family and friends. I love my town Zagreb!
