Benefits: The software assurance programs are part of the HHS Microsoft® Enterprise agreement – which offers Microsoft® software at a competitive price. As part of that contract, individual employees can directly benefit through: Self-paced interactive E-Learning Courses designed for end-users and IT Professionals. Opportunity to purchase a licensed copy of most 2007 Microsoft® Office system desktop programs for use on a home computer at a greatly reduced price. Discounts on some of the most popular Microsoft® productivity and entertainment products including Xbox and Zune. E-Learning Courses Description: Benefits: Get Started: E-Learning Courses are self-paced interactive training designed for end-users and IT Professionals. The courses use simulations, demonstrations, animations, and assessments to provide an engaging, effective learning experience for employees who need to upgrade their skills and knowledge. Benefits: Designed by subject matter experts and updated regularly, courses can be used as traditional training or as a just-in-time reference resource. Home Use Program Description: Benefits: Get Started: A licensed copy of most 2007 Microsoft® Office system desktop programs for use on a home computer is available to all employees within HHS at a greatly reduced price. The programs can be obtained via: Mail — with the cost of the media (CDs), shipping, and handling. Download — Microsoft® Office software can be downloaded and installed at home and with the option to order a back-up DVD. Benefits: Provides everyone the flexibility to use the same software at work and at home. The Home Use Program can help: By allowing users to develop familiarity with the same programs they use at work, and increasing employee efficiency.
