The BCS National Championship

The BCS National Championship Game The BCS National Championship Game is the final bowl game of the annual Bowl Championship Series (BCS) and is intended to determine the U.S. national champion of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. The participants are the two highest-ranked teams in the BCS standings at the end of the regular college football season. The 2014 Vizio BCS National Championship Game will be the national championship game of the 2013 college football season and is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2014 between the Auburn Tigers and Florida State Seminoles. It will be played at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, kicking off at 8:30 p.m. ET. This will be the 16th and last time the top two teams will automatically play for the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) title before the implementation of a four-team College Football Playoff system. The winner of the game will be presented with the American Football Coaches Association's "The Coaches' Trophy", valued at $30,000 and has Dr. Pepper as its presenting sponsor.
