Book Systems – Atriuum Atriuum is an automated system that will provide our school with the ability to keep our system updated. Atriuum is an affordable, web based, automation system compatible with our current Windows 2003 servers and is designed in an easy-to-learn and user-friendly format with strong technical support and a surplus of benefits. This slide show will outline the important aspects of the Atriuum system into three main categories: What is it Included Benefits Additional Pluses

What is it? A web-based integrated system that is accessible from any supported web browser. An affordable library software that is suitable for any size library. Designed to be user-friendly and easy-to-learn. Includes free updates directly from the vendors. Connects to the web via SURFit, allowing users to find the best resources on the web as well as the library itself. Designed specifically for Linux and Windows 2003 servers.

Optional Application Service Provider (ASP) ensuring worry-free management Reliable customer service and tech support Enriched MARC records available dynamically through a partnership with Syndetic Solutions Award Winning netTrekker d.i. Integration Impressive Reporting Capability Programs that help organize the library media specialist Cater to beginning researchers Improve accessibility for all patrons Included Benefits

Additional Perks Accessible from workstations with supported web browser 100% browser-based, providing better access to library materials and accounts Can be installed in either centralized or decentralized arrangements Used by over 219 libraries world wide Partners with Bound to Stay Bound for seamless collection analysis Offers it all, regardless of whether it is a multi- branch library system or a single school library

What are they saying about Atriuum? You know that I LOVE everything about Book Systems!! It amazes me that I am already so proficient at using a program that I first laid eyes on only 6 months ago After speaking to some of the other media specialists in the county, we feel Atriuum has provided us reporting capabilities that were not available to us in our previous library automation system, Athena We are simply delighted with the merits of the Atriuum Web-based solution. It is proving to be a quantum leap over the server-based program we were using Our administration was very happy that our elementary schools could do their own retrospective conversion themselves. I love the fact that our complete collection is at our fingertips. This is especially helpful for new faculty and new students.“ Atriuum is used world wide and comes highly recommended by users as evidenced by the surplus of positive customer comments. · Link to Customer reviews of Book Systems service and training:

Patrons can choose either text or visual searching in the OPAC. Includes different searches such as classification, recent additions, general interests, award winners, materials by type, etc. Includes KidZviZ, which is specially designed for young searchers, to provide young readers with an attention-grabbing, age-appropriate searching mechanism. Your Library is an open book to the world with SURFit™ Supplemental Programs Enhancing Resource Searches:

Seriels (manage print subscriptions) Acquisitions (manage orders) Offline Circulation MARC (enhancement service for updating records) C.E.R.F. (subscription on-line curriculum and education resources) C.E.R.F. eZcat / eZcat Pro (for simultaneously searching and downloading USMARC records) eZcat / eZcat Pro Supplemental Programs Enhancing Library Experience and Management:
