No road marking works have been done since October due to the weather. 3Circuit 4 - Add a new shuttle stop in front of the HotelStarted as of the 3rd of December. 4Rooms for disabled persons : Price to be decreased.2 rooms for disabled persons: one single 58 CHF/night and one twin 77 CHF/night for 2 persons and 64 CHF/night if ocupied by one person only. Only an average of 5 requests per week. Some keys no longer available. The new proposal is to change the cylinder. This procedure is already in place for more recent furniture (10 – 15 years old). Service Desk has been informed regarding this procedure. 5

CERN Hotel – Renovation Building 38 – Proposal 9 Building 38 could comprise: 28 shared rooms (Currently 26); 88 single rooms with washbasin (Currently 58); 80 single with shower (Currently 60). The 30 single rooms with washbasin and toilet and the 25 double rooms will disappear. Total of 196 rooms (Currently 199). Does this proposal answer CERN users needs?

LS1 - Car fleet increase Based on extension of current contracts ; Maximum estimated number of additional cars is as follows: 114 Cat B 37 Cat A For a total number of 151 vehicles of which 20 will be allocated to PH Department Agreement with contractors to mount and maintain winter tyres all year round on the CERN car fleet. 10

Restaurants & Snack Service 1. Cafeteria refurbished in Building 40; 2. Early 2013, renovation of the cafeterias in Buildings 6 and 30; 3. 2 additional vending machines at points 2, 4 (May 2013), 6 and 8 (April 2013) for both cold and hot drinks + food; 4. Paper hankerchieves and deodorant already in the vending machine in the Main Building. These items have to be better advertised ; 5. Wider range of products to be available in all vending machines, drinks and food alike; 6. Information about the use of disposable cups in the cafeteria in Building 40 to be installed next week ; 7. 2 microwave oven to be replaced in Restaurant no 1, 2 additional machines have been already ordered. 11

Shuttle Service 1. In 2012 nearly 110’000 passengers were transported, i.e. an increase of 18% compared to Fleet renewal – 3 new buses purchased (31 and 2 x 13 seats) 3. In the first two months of 2013, 16’434 passengers have already been transported. 14

Bicycle entrances - Prevessin Between the 6 th of August and the 30 th of November a new bicycle entrance was opened on the Prevessin site. Electrical CERN 1. 2 electrical cars being tested for 2 weeks; 2. Excellent feed-back; 3. Introduction of electrical cars for the mailing service as a first step; 4. Beta test also for recharging stations.
