Kiva Case Competition Wednesday, April 9 th, :30 PM

What is Kiva?  Kiva is a non-profit organization which helps to connect people through lending money to help with poverty throughout the world. On their website it states: “Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world".  The loans go to entrepreneurs who are looking to borrow money to help with their business.

Facts:  Since Kiva was founded in 2005:  1,112,630 Kiva lenders  $541,511,700in loans  98.97% Repayment rate  Kiva works with:  244 Field Partners  450 volunteers around the world  73 different countries
