3 What is an Ilm-o-Amal Chapter? It is a group of Pakistani community members who team- up to help the poor in Pakistan. It can be a group of people:  In a town in Pakistan e.g. North Karachi Town  In a company or organization in Pakistan e.g. Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP)  In a town in another country e.g. Toronto Canada  In a company or organization outside Pakistan e.g. SBM Riyadh

4 Who can create a chapter? Anyone can create a chapter by creating a team of at least 4 members To create a chapter contact us at  Usually a kickoff presentation is done to explain the purpose  Explain how the chapter operates  Appoint a chapter leader to manage the chapter affairs

5 How can a chapter help the poor? Chapter can help the poor by motivating its members to:  Sponsor the applications of needy families, student scholarships and income loans  Do field work to help in visiting cases and building relationship with schools  Contribute skills and time  Spread the message through its members  Hold social events

6 Who is a chapter leader? A chapter leader manages the chapter. Chapter leader:  Communicates with the Ilm-o-Amal chapter coordinator  Ensures that all the chapter members get up to date information about the activities of Ilm-o-Amal  Help increase membership and sponsorships  Explains processes to new members

7 What are chapter processes? Web-based BMS supports the following:  See list of chapter  See chapter details  Invite Members to join the chapter  Send s to chapter members  Organize events  Attach documents  Review the cases supported by chapter
