And my Nikon Coolpix 5400 was still relatively new and waiting to be tested. I noticed some yellow flowers shaking in the wind. The direct sunlight, the dark ivy background, and the shaking made them stand out.

I usually avoid shooting in direct sunlight and I don’t shoot object that are doing the jitterbug. And to get that, I set the ISO at 50 which counters the idea of needing a super fast shutter speed. 2.I set the camera to shutter priority to force the shutter speed to 1/2000 second. 3.My very slow ISO choice and the exceedingly fast shutter speed resulted in f/2.8 as my aperture.

To counter act this reality, I chose to use the 28mm (equiv.) super wide angle focal length. 6.I was ready to shoot knowing that I was going against a few of my own ‘don’t do’s”.
