Starting of LIS Education in India  FIRST Training class in India – at Imperial Library( Now National Library) Kolkata, in 1901 by John Macfarlac.  FIRST Library school – W.A. Borden, American Librarian, first class in Central Library, Baroda.  FIRST University Level class – 1915 – A. Dickenson, American Librarian - Punjab University, Lahore( now in Pakistan).
