MUSCLES  Like a machine, your body consists of many parts that move. Those parts are your bones and muscles.

The Muscular System. Muscles Muscles are organs that relax and contract, and provides the force to move your body parts – Voluntary muscles  muscles.

Muscular System. What’s the Purpose? The Muscular system’s main function is to assist our body with movement. Muscles pull the bones to produce movement.
The Muscular System. 1. The main function of the muscular system is to work with our skeletal system to help us move.
Muscles. MUSCLES Muscle – Organ that contracts and relaxes (returns to regular length). As a result, body parts move. Tendon – thick bands that attach.

Muscles. Voluntary Muscles Voluntary muscles operate or move when you think about it. The benefit is we can control our bodies to do what we want! Some.

Topic: Muscles All muscles pull and relax, pull and relax There are three kinds of muscle: Skeletal, smooth and cardiac Each one has its own specialty

Skeletal Muscle Skeletal muscle is attached to your bones by tendons. It is also known as voluntary muscle. Skeletal muscle responds quickly and powerfully to stimuli.

Smooth Muscle Smooth muscle is found between Smooth muscle does not respond quickly. Smooth muscle runs operations that you cannot usually control. It is also called involuntary muscle.

Cardiac Muscle Cardiac muscles are only found in the heart! Cardiac muscle is unique because it works without tiring like smooth muscle, but it can respond quickly like skeletal muscle

H.O.T.S. Using the Because Clapper… Compare why smooth and skeletal muscles. Compare how cardiac and skeletal muscles. Compare how smooth and cardiac muscles.

QT Test! 1.Smooth muscles never tire. 2.Cardiac muscles never tire. 3.Skeletal muscles never tire. 4.Skeletal muscles are the strongest type of muscle. 5.Cardiac muscle is like neither smooth nor skeletal muscle.

Problem Solver How would your day be different if you had to think about breathing.
