Tutorial Procedures

Tutorials Are Not Optional At Mac 9, we want to ensure that you receive the best education possible. Therefore, if you are assigned to after school tutorials, you must attend.

Tutorial Notification... The First Step If you need to attend tutorials, your core teacher will ask you to write your tutorial reminder in your planner. You will then take your planner home and get it signed by a parent Indicating that you notified your parent of the tutorial session. You will also sign the tutorial form showing that you received advance notification.

Tutorial Notification World Geography English Math Biology

Failure to Attend Will Result in D-Hall Tutorial Notification Sign In Sheet Students Sign Here Teacher: Tutorial Date:_________________ Student's NameID Number 7th Per Rm Notice Date Student Signature Student Signature on Tutorial Day Failure to attend WILL RESULT IN DHALLFailure to attend WILL RESULT IN DHALL

The Next Day During warm-ups, your core teacher will ask you to leave your planner on your desk where it will be checked for a parent signature.

What Happens If There Is No Parent Signature? Your teacher will call home!!!

On The Day Of Your Tutorials The front office will deliver tutorial lists to each seventh period teacher. An announcement will be made asking for teachers to release students on the tutorials list.

Then... You will be excused from the classroom and will walk directly to the cafeteria.

When You Arrive, Enter Through The Front Doors As you are entering, take a handout from the adult standing at the door.

Go Directly To Your Teacher’s Table Sit down at the next available seat at the table and begin working quietly on the assignment.

From 2:30 – 2:50 You will work diligently and quietly on your assignment. There is no talking and no getting up out of your seat at this time. Bathroom breaks will be given one table at a time.

At 2:50 Your teachers will arrive and your table will be called for dismissal. You will then walk with your teacher to your tutorial room where you will sign in on the tutorial notification sign-in sheet verifying your presence, then...

You Will Receive An exceptional tutorial lesson designed just for you! You will also receive snacks beginning October 4 th !

What Happens If I Do Not Go To My Assigned Tutorial Session? You will receive after school D- Hall with no snacks.

After School Appointments If you have a doctor or dentist appointment after school, in order to be excused from tutorials, you must bring a note from a parent prior to the tutorial day and a doctor or dentist excuse note when you return to school the next day. These need to be turned in to Mrs. Delgado or Mrs. Torres in the front office. Otherwise, missing assigned tutorials results in after school D- Hall the next day.
