Course 2 – 7 th grade Course 3 – 8 th grade 7th & 8th Grade Math

Online Textbook: -Enter username and password. -Click on picture of textbook to access your textbook at home. -Click on "Math Connects, Course 2012" link to access chapter specific items for 8 th graders and "Math Connects, Course 2012" link to access chapter specific items for 7 th graders (i.e. virtual manipulatives, personal tutor, extra practice skill sets, etc.). To find a worksheet assigned from the textbook: If you log on and click on the textbook, select the chapter we are working on - chapter 1 and then the section that was assigned – 1.1c. To the right of the list of the sections you will now see a tab that says Resources. When you click on it there will be options such as Animation, Personal Tutor, Online Assessment, and Student Worksheets. Under Student Worksheets you will find the ReTeach. The HW assignment will list the chapter, section part, along with the name of the worksheet that you need..

Printing HW from online text: First, click the red X on the chapter topic list to the right side & then use the “Print Screen” button (top row of keyboard, next to F12) and then right-click and paste. After you paste into a Word document, you can go to the Format tab across the top of your screen & choose the crop option. Move the corners in to the specific area you want to print. Then click on a corner & drag it out to make it larger (you might have to click off the picture after you crop and then click on it again to drag & make it larger).

Personal Tutor Follow the steps to access the student worksheets and select the Personal Tutor option

- Practice Vocabulary Quizzes are included in the student resources within each chapter. - IPad and IPhone Apps are available for free download from the App store (search: McGraw-Hill eFlashcards)

To take a practice Vocabulary Quiz: If you log on and click on the textbook, select the chapter we are working on - chapter 1. To the right of the list of the sections you will see a tab that says Resources. When you click on it there will be options such as Resources, Review Resources, & Program Resources. Under Review Resources you will find the Vocabulary Review. It is animated and can be done using the Audio button on the bottom of the screen.

Grades HW/CW/Preparedness – 20% –NO WORK = NO CREDIT –Homework scores start at 100. Five points are deducted for missing each HW assignment, 1 point is deducted for each time a student is unprepared for class. Tests/Quizzes – 80% Extra Credit (only included on tests/quizzes)
