Define Computers What is the digital revolution and how does it affect me?  Is an going process of social, political, and economic change brought about by digital technology, such as computers and the Internet. 2

Define Computers What is a Computer?  A computer is an Electronic device that accepts input, process data, stores data, and produces output, based on a series of instructions in stored programs. 3

Define Computers Do all computers look alike?  Computers come in a variety of styles, models, and size What is PC stands for?  Personal Computer What is a computer system?  Computer system includes hardware, peripheral devices, and software. 5

What is Input Devices?  Such as keyboard or mouse, to input information.  The input device and the computer work together to change into a series of electronic signals the computer can understand What is output Devices?  Such as monitor, printer, or speakers. As you work, you continue to input information and to use the output. 9
