Achievements : Provinces Improved coordination / relations between provinces and municipalities 70 libraries provided with curriculum support materials, for distance learners in KZN The upgrading of Zuurbekom library completed A new library established in Kwaggafontein, MP A new library at Hekpoort, Mogale City completed Upgrading of Krugersdorp library completed A new library established at Mkhuhlu, Bushbuckridge
Achievements : Provinces A new library established at Kamaqhekeza, Nkomazi Municipality A new library established at Morgenzon in Gert Sibande Region Morokweng community library completed and was ready opening by March mobile book trolleys sites established

MAJOR CHALLENGES Staff turn-over v/s skills shortages Delays in concluding SLAs with municipalities – still Schedule 5 problems Supply Chain Management issues – esp. in relation to procurement of books and reading material Infrastructure-related problems – tenders; Public Works and maintenance
