Portable Music Players By Alejandro Lopez Period 2W

Portable Cassette Players Started in 1979 Very small structure- just big enough to fit in a cassette Created an entire new category for music and changed the way people listen to music forever Picture from

CD Players Released in 1982 Large structure, containing many face buttons Many different forms, some with bigger display screens, and some differently shaped, others lightweight, etc.

MP3 Players First introduced in 1998 with the MP Man Now with more advanced features, such as a camera or internet connectivity Made people see that a simple product can still deliver great functionality Picture from

Apple iPod Released in 2001 Critically acclaimed for being innovative and user friendly Served as a gateway to many portable devices, including future music players and portable gaming consoles

Conclusion Portable music players weren’t very popular when they first came out. Not many people could afford them, and it took some time for them to really sell on the market. But with enough time, people saw the potential of these devices. Not only are they great products that give a lifetime of entertainment, but they also changed they way that people listen to music, and if it hadn’t been for these devices, the music player industry would not be as big as it is today.
