NetCDF/HDF  Received official notice of award negotiation in early March  Have not received final allocation – expect soon  Unsure of total budget, but expect to be funded in full This would bring ~422K to UPC 2 new hires (one SEIII, one Student)  277K goes to partner, NCSA  Grant has been awarded and “check is in the mail” according to NASA web site  This funding reduces need for funding in core proposal in years

Summary  Funding for FY03 in excellent shape  Outlook for FY04 is uncertain until we know more about core proposal and other sources.  (but based on history, we feel we can be positive that the future is bright)  Thank again to NSF – Cliff and Bernard for being excellent guardians of the UPC!!
