You, a 21 st century inventor!  October 16-17, 2013  Objective: Students will work in groups on a machine project that combines Science and Social Studies units to include design, writing and a class presentation.

Warm - Up  On the paper I give you:  Create one multiple choice question with four possible answers from the IR text in your notebook.  Be sure to circle the correct answer.  Turn in to Mrs. Dolinger.

18 th century British inventors  Complete your research on all six inventors and include these in your notebook.

Use your technology or CHMS iPad to answer.  What is the purpose of the invention?  When was this invented?  What impact did this invention have on society?

 Create an illustrated time line of the six (6) inventions in your notebook.  Include the year and label each invention.
