POLYGON Is a closed plane figure formed by three or more line segments that meet at points called vertices.
HEPTAGON Is a closed plane shape formed by SEVEN line segments.
NONAGON Is a closed plane shape formed by NINE line segments.
REGULAR POLYGON A polygon with all sides congruent and all angles congruent.
CONGRUENT A figure with all the same length line segments and has the same measurement for each angle.
EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE A triangle with three congruent sides.
ISOSCELES TRIANGLE A triangle with 2 congruent sides.
SCALENE TRIANGLE A triangle with no congruent sides.

PARALLELOGRAM A closed shape with opposite sides congruent and parallel.

PRISM Is a polyhedron that has two congruent polygons as bases.
PYRAMID Is a polyhedron with only one base.
BASES The bottom shape or face of a solid object.
LATERAL FACES The polygons that connect with the base to form the sides of a polyhedron.
EDGES Is a line segment that joins to vertices.
VERTEX OR VERTICES Are a point where two or more line segments meet.
NETS A pattern that you can cut and fold to make a model of a solid shape.
