 Kenyan culture revolves heavily around religious practices and family traditions. The repetitions of family practices as in the short story “The End of Skill” are very cherished in Kenyan culture. Many are similar but none the same.

 Kente is African weaving and is holy to the Ashanti people. To them it is about equivalent to a crucifix or cross in the Christian religion.

 Some Kenyan food is considered strange to outsiders but it’s pretty good to natives. They eat a lot of rice, meat (mostly goat) and vegetables and seldom eat or drink junk food. Many dishes are traditional to the tribe. But meat is rarely eaten because of its high cost; unless they’re herders to raise livestock.

 The two main religions in Kenya are Christianity and Islam, which are surprisingly even in numbers.

 Unlike many economies, corruption is its biggest problem. Aside from that its like ours up and down.

 The main tribe in Kenya is Kikuyu closely followed by Luhya.
