Summary of Findings School-Age Girls have a higher percentage with overweight issues while boys with obese issues School-Age American Indian and Hispanic have much higher rates of overweight (>18.9%) & obese (>24.0%) School-Age improved with overweight/Obese 35.3% to 33.9% compared to US 31.9%

Summary of Findings Percentage of healthy weight increases from Elementary to Middle to High School 62.0% to 62.9% to 65.4%, US % Percentage of overweight/Obese decreases from Elementary to Middle to High School 35.5% to 35.0% to 33.0%, US – 31.9% College students overweight/obese issues ( %, %, US – 32.5%)

Summary of Findings School Age & College Age need resources & energy given to help with issues of both overweight & obesity. Preschool data needed Underweight really an issue for this age? 9 Pediatricians willing to help WCHD collect data
