Suffix -ly Suffix ly is added to the end of a base word to change a word’s function in a sentence. Tell your partner what these ly words(adverbs) are describing.

Suffix -ly Her hair is naturally curly. They hungrily ate the pizza. The dog gingerly chewed on the bone. They skipped merrily along the hall. The cabin had a lovely view of the mountains.

Homographs With your partner, make a list of at least 10 homographs. Be prepared to share your list.
