Introduction ANSYS can solve full dynamic problems (with inertial and damping effects included) Examples include: ◦ Vibration problems ◦ Waves ◦ Collisions ◦ Etc. Time

Key Elements to Analysis Be sure to define density Set up analysis options: ◦ Analysis type is transient (start with “full” method for solution) ◦ Time step must be chosen in context of period of natural frequencies of structure (shoot for about 20 steps within a single oscillation)
