PMIWDC -Who We Are PMIWDC – Chartered in 1978 as the 8th Chapter of PMI Covers No. Virginia, Washington DC, and extends as far SW as Charlottesville Largest Chapter in the world with 10,000 + members! (PMIWDC membership is Global with events by PMIWDC in the geography above.)

Each PMP must earn 60 PDUs every 3 years to maintain and renew certification PDU records are maintained by PMI, not the PMIWDC How the DC Chapter can help: PMIWDC provides the opportunity to earn over 160 PDUs each year—so it is likely you will find something to benefit you! Educational Opportunities Scholarships PMIWDC provides a variety of scholarships for both degree-track and professional development courses George Patton Memorial Scholarship assists PMIWDC chapter members in funding continuing education coursework. The scholarship awards a maximum of $2,000 to one or more applicants, twice per year. 30

Educational Opportunities Scholarships Academic Scholarship Promotes academic & professional development in PM Provides the recipient a total of $2000 for pursuing for-credit education in project management at qualifying institutions. Administered through PMI's Educational Foundation. Outreach Programs Corporate Outreach Educational Outreach The PMIWDC Corporate Outreach Program promotes the Chapter and the project management profession to the business leaders who employ our members. Corporate Outreach Coordinators represent the Chapter to their organizations and design programs that promote the profession while meeting the needs and interests of the members’ companies and organizations. Educational Outreach Through speakers and joint organization and promotion of programs and events, Educational Outreach promotes the project management profession and methods to area high schools, colleges, and universities.
