Grocery Shopping Statistics O The average grocery shopping for 1 person is $294 a month. O According to a survey conducted in 2011, US consumers made on average 1.7 grocery trips per week. O On a typical day, 32 million American adults shop at a grocery store, that’s one out of every seven adults nationwide. O Saturday is usually the busiest shopping day, averaging 41 million shoppers. O Monday and Tuesday are the least busiest averaging 29 million shoppers.
