Why Study Abroad? International Experience An experience that focuses on the delivery of educational and social services to individuals with developmental disabilities Students come from a wide range of disciplines! ▫Good preparation to work in a multi-D setting ▫Make new friends!!!!

Program Description Cross-cultural experience in Cork, Ireland The opportunity to work with Irish professionals and deliver services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Learn about Irish history, culture and traditions through in/out of-country travel and attendance at social and cultural events.

Curriculum Abroad SPED 4800/6800 : Cross-Cultural Perspectives in Developmental Disabilities: Ireland ▫You must write a 5-7 page paper, double spaced, on a topic of your choice. Can be in groups. ▫10 minute oral presentation to the group on your paper topic SPED 4440S/7440 S: Practicum Study Abroad in Ireland ▫This is your placement experience

Stuff you need to know Program Fee: $ ▫Not including Airfare or tuition ▫Does include:  lodging in student apartments with private bedroom and bath on University College Cork campus  Insurance  orientation and departure meals,  transportation to and from either Shannon  Cork city bus pass for 5 weeks  Cork City, County Cork, Gouganne Barra and other group tours, cultural events (e.g. entry fees to sports match, concert, etc.).
