EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act Goal: Reduce state-wide per capita electricity consumption and peak demand 15% by Electric Utilities’ Responsibility 10% per capita reduction in consumption 15% of the peak demand reduction State’s Responsibility Help capture the remaining 5% of electricity savings

Electric Utility Programs

EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act Five (5) participating Maryland electric utilities: Allegheny Power Baltimore Gas & Electric (BG&E) Delmarva Power Pepco Southern Maryland Electrical Cooperative (SMECO) Each utility is offering similar, but not necessarily identical, programs.

EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act Examples of Energy Efficiency Programs Available: Lighting Efficiency HVAC Motors and variable frequency drives Recommissioning Commercial Kitchen and Refrigeration Equipment Operations and Maintenance Training Incentives Custom Program Program specifics vary between the five different electric utilities.

EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act For more information, please refer to your electric utility’s website: Allegany Power: Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE): Delmarva Power: Pepco: SMECO: The list of EECBG direct recipients has been shared with the participating EmPOWER electric utilities in case there are opportunities to partner together to save energy. The electric utility may be reaching out to you directly to make sure you are aware of the details of their program.

Statewide EECBG Reporting

EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act MEA is requesting that all direct EECBG recipients copy us on their quarterly performance reports being submitted to DOE. This allows us to account for the electricity savings being achieved through the EECBG program towards the EmPOWER Maryland goal. The majority of Maryland EECBG direct recipients are submitting their quarterly reports to MEA. (Thank you!) For those who may not yet be submitting, please save your PAGE report in a PDF and it to Dean Fisher

EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act To send MEA a copy of your quarterly performance report: From the Page Home page click on EECBG, then Reports. Drop down to Program Performance Report. Select the quarterly reporting period and click Run Report. In the upper left-hand corner of the new window is an export icon, click on it (you will need to allow pop-ups). From the format drop down menu, choose PDF. Save the PDF and then please the PDF reports to Dean Fisher at Additional guidance is available in PAGE at
