1. The presentation of ASSOCIATION OF “LIFELONG EDUCATION” ASSOCIATION OF “LIFELONG EDUCATION” (AELIV) from Gorj County (South West Oltenia Region) is a non-profit association, incorporated for solving some social problems, by promoting educational programs for adults (Act establishing nr.7307/ , Certificate / the non-profit legal person nr.25/ , CIF: ). The members of the association work as volunteers, they are NCAVT (CNFPA) and MEN certified as adults’ trainers. 06 – 09 June 2013, Jelgava, Latvia

The project Active Aging With Knowledge and Experience / Awake Starting with 2010, ASSOCIATION OF 'LIFELONG EDUCATION " has started to participate to programs by Lifelong Learning: ● participation in Grundtvig training courses (4 scholarships Grundvig); ● the implementation of project Active Aging With Knowledge and Experience / Awake ( ) as partner (contract No. 98 / ); ● external evaluation of the project "Capacity Building for the nrps of the European Quality in Vocational Education and Training Network: Promoting Quality, Project no LLP RO- LEONARDO-EQAVET (the announcement ARACIP no. 2682/ , the website

06 – 09 June 2013, Jelgava, Latvia 4.The Awake project - opportunity for ASSOCIATION OF "LIFELONG EDUCATION" we were interested to work with adult education providers in other EU countries; we desired the diversification and efficiency of our educational programs for adults, by applying new methods and educational strategies in non-formal and informal system; the title "Active Aging With Knowledge and Experience, the purpose and the objectives of project corresponded to the targets of our association; we wanted to demonstrate that in Romania coherent education policies are applied and adapted to the interests of adults; Also, we considered that by participating in the project: we will support the adults 50 +; we will be useful to the society; we will ensure "personal development" for the members of AELIV; we will accumuate experience in the development and implementation of European projects; we will develop and promote our association on national and European field. At the begining of the project, we had emotions about how we will work with project partners and how we will organize the meeting in TG - Jiu, March 2013.

06 – 09 june 2013, Jelgava, Latvia The AWAKE project is first Grundtvig Learning Partnership project of the ASSOCIATION OF "LIFELONG EDUCATION" 4.1. For establishing the results of the ASSOCIATION OF "LIFELONG EDUCATION" in the project Aging With Active Knowledge and Experience was applied the next logical scheme. The objectives of the Grundtvig subprogramme ; Call 2011 The evaluation of uman resources and infrastructure of the ASSOCIATION OF " LIFELONG EDUCATION " The information provided by the AJOFM Gorj By Awake project: we will expand its education action zone for people 50+; we will enhance cooperation with the local community to solve the problems of education and retraining of adults 50 +; we will ensure a transfer of information and practices between local communities in different EU countries ; we will improve adult 50+ empowerment tools for informal or non-formal educationfor by useing experience of AWAKE partners and we will see how our partners solves a series of problems conected with 50+ adults training. One the other hand we will support our partners with solutions for ICT training of 50+ people. We provide 50+ adults a non-formal learning program associated with support course consists of AscultaþiCitiþi fonetic 3 modules, based on: internet communication, accessing a database, the administrative (expense, online payments). We will promote adult- centered learning.

Were developed and applied three types of questionnaires, to identify : - educational needs of adults 50 +; - predominant learning styles of adults 50 + and need to use the method "adult-centered learning"; - importance of learning sheets for adults 50 + in the non-formal and informal education system; - need to use the learning sheets to writing and editing support course IT initiation of adults 50 +; II. Has been developed and multiplied the course support of initiation in IT for adults 50 +, which contains 3 modules (50 exemplary); - each module was centered on a unit of competency; - the modules were structured in learning units; III. Have been developed and multiplied 60 sets of sheets of learning (for initiating in IT of the adults 50 +); - for each learning unit was achieved a sheet of learning; - each sheet of learning contain minimum a practical application. IV. Were carried out 2 educational programs (free) for initiating in IT 53 adults 50+, from disadvantaged areas;

06 – 09 June 2013, Jelgava, Latvia V. 53 adults 50 + have participated in a initiation training program in IT, of which 9 in non-formal system and 44 in system informal ; all have passed the final assessment test; VI. Was established a group of 16 volunteers / trainers and was developed the intergenerational cooperation (5 trainers were adults 50 +). VII. Was developed and multiplied the flyer of promote the Awake project (100 exemplary ); VIII. It has been adapted method "student-centered learning" to method "adult- centered learning". IX. Has been launched the concept of "Preparing for volunteering is done in school"; X. The AWAKE project was selected as the pilot social responsibility project “Competences and instruments for adopting social and environmental responsibility within civil society organizations”(ID 63046); XI. Was signed a partnership with an organization of women; XII. It was developed the study "The sheets of learning - the opportunity for the non-formal and informal education of adults”; XIII. 5 adults of which 3 are adults 50 + have participated in an initiation training in Englishş XIV. 18 people participated in the mobilities (150% achievement)

June 2013, Jelgava, Latvia Through questionnaire AWAKE, ( the product of the AWAKE project ) we applied innovative methods: - "European teamwork" has contributed to the development of an European educational tool by identifying needs of adult education 50 + / Questionnaire AWAKE; - "action learning" / the AWAKE Questionnaire contributed on forming 4 volunteers and informing 33 adults 50 + on volunteering; - "common educational vision" / was used in each partner country; the groups of adults 50 + ( for the application of "AWAKE Questionnaire") had the same structure ; - "quantitative and qualitative statistical methods" for processing the results of applying the "AWAKE Questionnaire ";

Senior listeners/volunteers - 53 adults 50 (in disfavoured areas) have completed an educational program in IT initiation (free); - Personal development of 16 volunteers (5 are adults 50+); 4.2.b. Staff Personal development of staff AWAKE project: - the European partners / the European friends; - experience in the preparation and presentation of know-how - s; - experience in the development and application of a questionnaire aimed at identifying the needs / interests of adults 50 ; - experience in developing an Application Form; - experience in the implementation of a European project; - experience in organizing an event at the European level; - experience in drafting and editing auxiliary curricular / course support; - experience in working with women's organizations; - developing skills to work in the European team; - developing communication skills with partners;

Organization -have diversified the field of activity AELIV - from the programs (re)qualification in the formal system at the non-formal and informal educational programs in order to improve the quality of life of adults / adults 50; -Increase the prestige AELIV in the plan local, national and European ; -Experience in identifying and empowering stakeholders concerned; - Establishment and operation of a European educational partnership between different organizations based on cooperation; -We are part of NGO network in Romania applying principles of social responsibility; - the AWAKE project was selected as the pilot social responsibility project; the selection was made by consortium: REPER 21 Association (promoter), ANPCDEFP / National Agency of Romania's (partner) and CRIES Association (partner) in the project “Competences and instruments for adopting social and environmental responsibility within civil society organizations” (ID 63046), project funded by the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development event that has made ​​ us known to among the NGOs - from Romania;

06 – 09 June 2013, Jelgava, Latvia The AWAKE project is a success! It was necessary for the partners to work with seriousness and responsibility, for a better cooperation and communication. Through the AWAKE project we have gained experience in communication and collaboration with partners and in organizing an European event. We managed to work with the local community and with the stakeholders in educational programs for adults During the AWAKE implementation, we have approached a number of original solutions agreed by all partners.
