Billing Information for Patients  Financial assistance options  Inova is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt entity  If a patient needs financial assistance, call Inova at  Inova can assist in applying for state and local government assistance programs  Patients are entitled to emergency services, even if they cannot pay, as Inova is a Medicare provider and participates in the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act  Patients must have their insurance card and picture ID available at all times  Patients must be familiar with their insurance benefits and the company's requirements  Payment is due at the time of service for patient’s copay or other out-of- pocket expenses  Call for more information about admission, registration, billing, and/or collection policies
