Completing Your Online Family Tree AFAS 2010 April 2014

Family History Assignment O Complete an online family tree up to your 8 great-grandparents O Submit a screenshot of your online tree O Write a one page synopsis describing your experiences working on your family tree.

FamilySearch Account O Refer to the prior presentation for instructions on creating an account on FamilySearch.org O After you create your account, complete your family tree online – up to your 8 great- grandparents.

Building Your Tree O You may find it helpful to gather details on paper first O You can find a form at gree.pdf. You can fill it in online, or print it and fill it out. gree.pdf O Please note: Women should be entered with their maiden names (e.g. Michelle L. Robinson instead of Michelle L. Obama). If maiden name is unknown, leave blank.

Go to: to start building your tree online. They system will guide you through the process for up to your great-grandparents.

Viewing Your Tree O After you finish entering your family members, you will then go to view your family tree.
