Uses of NISH based statistics The interesting development in Nigeria currently, is the increasing demand for statistical products by governments, private business sector, Non- governmental organizations (NGOs) and the academia to mention a few. NISH based products have been used extensively for policy, programme design and performance monitoring by government and UN agencies. Key areas were NISH had been used include;  Immunization programmes  Fertility & mortality control  Health policies  Minimum wage adjustments  Poverty alleviation policies & programmes  Job creation programmes  Water supply and management schemes

 Poverty reduction strategy paper  Rural Development policies  Food security programmes  Revenue allocation policies  Environmental control policies & programmes  Adult Literacy enhancement programmes

Uses of NISE based statistics Equally, NISE based statistical products have been extremely useful to government and the private business community in the areas of:  National development Planning  Sectoral Performance evaluation  Industrial Policies  Evaluation of general economic outlook  Capacity planning and policy designs  Manpower stock planning  Option selection and criteria programming by researchers.  Evaluation of Markets  Determining potential for competition

Uses of Integrated product From the integrated products of FOS which is a mix of items derived from NISH, NISE and Administrative Records analyzed, use of these statistics have been helpful in some areas of need such as:  Resource allocation Policies and programmes  Planning national development and vision 2010  Poverty Profile determination  Foreign Trade Policy thrust  Inflation moderating Policies  Public service Review Programme  Performance evaluation of governments
