BACKGROUND / RESEARCH

OBJECTIVES  To organize a 3-day awareness campaign on a healthier lifestyle among college students.  To educate college students on the importance of health check ups.  To educate college students that maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be fun.

STRATEGIES

TACTICS  VIA CAMPUS 1. Set up an awareness booth in hot spot areas in campus. 2. Have a donation box for the children’s home. 3. Come up with suitable activities and games for upcoming campaign.

TACTICS  VIA ONLINE 1. Create Facebook, Twitter, Instagram page just for the campaign. 2. Post pictures of motivational quotes on all social networking sites. 3. Constantly check on replies and constantly post posts.

PROPOSED CAMPUS ACTIVITES  1. BLOOD DONATION/ BLOOD CHECK UP - To create awareness among college students on the importance of blood check ups and blood donations.  2. TREASURE HUNT - An interesting treasure hunt around campus for college students to take part in.  3. ZUMBA/MUAY THAI/YOGA - An interesting exercise class for students who would like to attend short sessions provided. (RM5 per person)  4. FUN RUN MARATHON - A fun jog/marathon around campus for college students.  5. FUTSAL TOURNAMENT - A futsal tournament limited to 10 teams with 8 people to join.

PROPOSED CAMPUS ACTIVITIES  6. SMOOTHIE BOOTH - A small smoothie booth run by crew members selling healthy fruit smoothies/juices at a reasonable price.  7. THE F.I.T. CHALLENGE - Consists of a few obstacle courses that will have a small competition among students who participate.  8. THUG OF WAR - A thug of war that will be put right infront of the awareness booth to attract attention and to allow students to win prizes.

TIMELINE 1 st week SEPTEMBER: -Logo needs to be completed -Flyers, poster & social media accounts need to be made & activated. -Survey to be sent out. 2 nd week SEPTEMBER: -Teaser, posters & flyers sent out to public. -Get quotations done for everything in need of quotation. 3 rd week SEPTEMBER: -Follow up with all quotations. -Finalize all venues for activities. 4 th week SEPTEMBER: -FINALIZE ALL ACTIVITIES 5 th week: -Finalize poster & flyers followed by sending the posters and flyers out.

CHANNELS  SOCIAL MEDIA - Establishing a facebook page for The F.I.T. Campaign by Taylors University SOC to create hype among college students and to gain support. (TARGET: 250 likes) - Create a Twitter and Instagram account for The F.I.T. Campaign by Taylors University SOC. - Post daily/hourly posts on the twitter and instagram pages for followers to view.

BUDGET  The team will source for sponsorships and donations to run this event.

BREAKDOWN

EVALUATION  1. SOCIAL MEDIA MONITORING - Number of likes & followers per week on the campaign’s social media accounts.  2. SURVEY QUESTIONS AT THE AWARENESS BOOTH - Number of surveys done per day (min 50 per day)  3. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS - Target number for FUN RUN MARATHON: 150ppl - Target number of blood donated: 100 pax - Entry fees for the Futsal Tournament: 10 teams; 80 ppl  4. AMOUNT OF CASH RAISED & CLOTHING & PRODUCTS GATHERED - RM 2000 along with clothes & food/product donation.
