Presentation The Centre for Animal Behaviour ”Odefey Dyreadfærdscenter” Dorthe Odefey Professional Dog Behavioural Specialist

”If you talk to the animals they will talk to you and you will know each other. If you do not talk to them, you will not know them. And what you do not know, you will fear. What one fears, one destroys.” Chief Dan George

Ideology At “Odefey – centre for animal behaviour” it is our intention to create the best possible conditions for dogs and wolves all over the world by teaching humans how to respond to their language and by showing them that the best behavioural results are achieved by positive reinforcement. Force and violence towards animals inhibit the actual development of an individual, whereas patience, loving consequence and mutual respect enhance this development.

Qualifications For several years, Dorthe Odefey has studied wild and domesticated animals (primarily wolves and dogs). The combination of a biological and ethological education led to a specialist degree in dog behaviour in September Dorthe has now become a recognized teacher and trainer among veterinarians, professional dog trainers, laboratories, private dog owners and advertising agencies. Her goal is to increase the understanding of dog behaviour among people and thus prevent unnecessary euthanasia.

It is our wish to establish a professional and personal contact with our clients - a contact based on trust and good chemistry. Through flexible solutions and customized offers, we want to ensure that a future and long term collaboration is created. It is possible to use our expertise within various areas for example: Lectures, practical training, development, education and counselling. How you decide to draw use of our potential is up to your discretion. Our full range of expertise is here for you. Collaboration

Extractions of our expertise Ethology of the wolf and the dog. Body language and mime of the wolf and the dog. The calming signals. Aggressive behaviour. Fears and phobias. Attachment and separation.
