PTSS General Membership Meeting September 12, 2013

Tonight’s Agenda Pledge of Allegiance Welcome & PTSS Board Introduction Principal’s Report – Tara Tahmosh-Newell What has the PTSS been working on? UnFundraiser

Let’s avoid magazine sales, chocolate sales, popcorn sales and all the others!! We are not asking you to buy OR sell anything! We are simply asking for students/families to collect donations to help raise $$ for our school. SSA+S receives 100% of donations! Any $10 donation brought in by an SSA+S student during the two week time frame will receive 1 dress down day, $20 = 2 dress down days, and so on up to $50 worth of donations for 5 dress down days. Additional donations are always appreciated! Participation is not mandatory but simply encouraged in an effort to raise money ~ don’t forget to ask friends & family!

Box Top Contest This year we are having a contest! The first Homeroom to 5,000 box tops wins a PARTY!! (Ice Cream or Pizza, class choice) Send in tops with your child’s name and Homeroom teacher on the Ziploc bag. Each month students who submit at least 50 box tops will have their name entered in a drawing for a gift certificate to the School Store.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities UNFUNDRAISER – help put together packets and prepare arm bands for participants. CONCESSION STAND – Sell snacks and drinks during home games and playoffs! SCHOOL STORE – Sell snacks to kids after school and get the chance to see the store grow as we add new products. SCIENCE FAIR – Assist teachers in getting the school ready for the Science Fair Check the Sign-Up Genius link for these and other opportunities. There are a wide variety of ways to participate and get in those hours. We can’t do it without you!!
