Biblos.si e-book lending platform for Slovenian public libaries Pilot phase: Production phase since % of public libraries participating Review of business model at the end of 2013

Licencing New business model since : –library pays the annual fee for usage of system which includes basic collection of cca 200 titles –library have to buy aditional titles from catalog (licence enable 52 loans), library set number of simultaneous loans –price for library licence is the same as retail book price

Access all books are available thru e-book lending platform web portal Biblos.si login using COBISS/My Library service (primary intended for loan, reservations and renewals of library materials) Apps for Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices (direct borrowing) platform assigned e-ink reading devices for user lendings in public libraries (educational aspect)

Integration in Library environment Biblos has his own cooperative bibliographic system which is fully indexed for searches via internet metadata to enhance the discovery of ebooks – integration with Co-operative Online Bibliographic System and Services (COBISS) integration with COBISS supports all batch processes

Catalog Currently around 750 titles in Slovenian language, expect to reach 1000 by september 2014 adding additional languages (minorities) in autumn to catalog
