The Aims The opportunity to deepen and broaden your knowledge of English and world literature, culture, and history by studying in one of the world’s great cities. The opportunity to study in small classes with tenure-track faculty. The opportunity to study abroad while spending less money that you would in programs funded by private universities (Penn, Arcadia, etc.).

The Instructors Steve Newman: established program in 2013; widely published in Eighteeenth-century and Romantic literature English and Scottish literature; CLA, Temple, and national teaching awards Sue Wells, former chair of English, internationally known scholar, author of 3 books, expert in rhetorical theory and Early Modern/Renaissance literature, experience teaching abroad (Rome, Japan), highly-regarded teacher

The Courses English 824: The Quest for Utopia—GenEd Human Behavior English 834: Representing Race--GenEd Race and Diversity English 2202: Introduction to English Lit, —required for English major (also counts toward minor) English 2297: Shakespeare—2000-level elective for English major (also counts toward minor) Note: Studying abroad also satisfies the GenEd World Society requirement
