Objective By the end of the day, Achievers on the ROAD to college will be able to identify producers, consumers and decomposers in a food chain. Achievers on the ROAD to college will also be able to answer our question of the day!

Question of the Day! How is an organism’s survival dependent on other organisms?

It’s tough to be an organism! They have to survive the freezing cold tundra and the burning hot desert. But don’t forget why they use camouflage and mimicry – they have to avoid being eaten by other organisms!!

Flashback! We talked about how trees in the deciduous forest shed their leaves, they fall on the forest floor and are broken down into nutrients by decomposers, and the nutrients stay in the ground making it very rich. Those DECOMPOSERS are what we’re talking about!
