Contents: The basics of building information modeling. Modeling guidelines for designers. Use of product libraries. Object technology examples. Building simulation. Examples of pilot projects In practise: Basic use of Archicad, BIM basic ideas, a single-family house project, 75 students/ year SP, Advised Free-choice Studies (Module of Construction Technology) T Application Programs in Construction Industry 3 ECTS cr Learning outcomes: The student becomes familiar with the application programs of cost control and management of production in building project and will apply them in practice. Contents: Application programs of cost calculation in construction planning. Application programs of construction cost calculation and cost control in production. Advised Free-choice Studies (Module of house building engineering) T Advanced Course in Product Type Based Construction Design 3 ECTS cr Learning outcomes: The student becomes familiar with the hierarchy of the building information models and different ways of using it building processes and is able to use building information modeling with different software applications and understands the basic differences between design model and building information model. Contents: Creating a building information model and modifying a design model according to the building information model instructions. Making use of the building information model in different steps of house building and design. In practise: One class/academic year – 25 students. The students will: - get familiar with different models of design (HVAC, electricity) and different architect models created with programs like Revit and Archicad - practice creating a simple model with the main aim in quantities - produce and transfer quantities from a modell both to excel and to costs calculation programms - get familiar with combination and fitting together of different models and collision detection of systems - get familiar with Tekla structural model structure and it’s practical use e.g. time scheduling in a project - get familiar with the practical use of BIM in prefabrication of conrete strcuctures SP,
