 The FQPA changed the way the EPA regulates pesticides. This act amended the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act along with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.  Environmental Issues Affected: Stricter safety protection for infants and children. Regulating safety/health based standards for pesticides Development and maintenance of effective crop protection tools Re-evaluation of pesticide registrations and tolerances Improvements in human health

 The Agency responsible for regulating and enforcing this act is the EPA.
