 Experiment with the Design features to get the look you want for your presentation.  Most design templates will keep the design the same on all your slides  To add a different color background to each slide, right-click on the slide and choose Format Background. You can add a color to individual or all pages.

 With the New Slide button, you can insert a slide with the layout that will best display your content.  A blank slide with be plain. Other slide choices will continue your design.

 To add text, type the desired text into the text box.  If you need an additional text box, choose Insert Text box from the Menu Bar

 The first time you save, choose SAVE AS.  Name your presentation and save it to a location you will remember.  As you add to your presentation, choose SAVE occasionally to be sure you don’t lose any of your hard work.

 You can add visual animations  These animations control the look and entrance of you slides as well as the timing and transitions of your slides  Audio animations control sounds within your slideshow. You can have music throughout your show or sounds that are heard with each slide or portion of the show.

 The Custom Animation option allows you to choose different animations for portions of your slides  You can control the speed at which your slides, or portions of you slides appear  You can also control slide advance timing and controls You must do this for each slide

 You can also right-click on an item in the custom animation window and change specifics of the text animation by choosing Effects Options.

 You can add background music by using the Sounds tool found in the Insert tab  Choose Insert Sound  Find the music you want on your computer  Add the sound to the slide of your choice.  To play music throughout the show, right-click on the sound in the Custom Animation window and choose Effect Options to make adjustments

 Choose the Effect Options tab for the items listed to the left  In the Sound Settings tab, you can choose to make the sound icon invisible in your presentation  The timing tab lets you choose when the sound begins and its duration

 From time to time, as you create your show, you may want to see how it will look as a presentation.  Use the Slide Show tab to preview and set up your slide show.

 Choose the way you want your show presented by clicking the Slide Show tab and choosing set up slide show.
