INVASION OF PRIVACY What is freedom of the press? Should there be limits on the press? Are there aspects of the media essential to freedom of the press? What is the difference between public and private individuals?

4 KINDS OF INVASION 1.Public disclosure of private and embarrassing facts Does the info lack legitimate public concern 2.False light Does the info unflatteringly portray a person as something that he/she is not? 3.Intrusion Was the info obtained in a way that infringed upon an person’s reasonable expectation for privacy 4.Misappropriation Was the info unauthorized to use a person’s name, likeness, voice or endorsement to promote the sale of a commercial product or service?

This case is cited for the rule that in federal courts, a reporter may not avoid testifying in a criminal grand jury.
