Overview Today we will review the implementation of College Scheduler for UW-Madison and Madison College.

College Scheduler Overview  Many colleges are trying to make scheduling easier for their students, here are some of the options available: 1. Student built system – screen scrub for data 2. Custom built system – requires staff and money 3. Purchase a system  Madison College and UW Madison chose Option 3 and contracted with College Scheduler. Key selling point for both colleges was the full integration with PeopleSoft SA and willingness to customize the product.

College Scheduler Integration College Scheduler partners with PRJ consulting for the PeopleSoft Integration. PRJ Consulting installs a project that contains a set of Application Engines, Student Center Customizations, and Web Services. Services Include:  Large Pull – all curricular data for chosen set of terms  Small Pull – any changes to seats information (Open or Waitlist)  Enrolled Classes – upon sign on, sends currently enrolled class info  Shopping Cart – returns chosen classes for enrolling

Fall 2013 Numbers  Madison College has over 39,000 degree and non-degree seeking students with 4,265 course options.  UW-Madison has over 41,000 enrolling students and 5,626 courses offered.
