How does the tooth get decayed? When you eat a food, a sticky substance called plaque forms on you teeth. Plaque has bacteria in it. If you eat sweet food, lots of bacteria grow. The bacteria change sugary food to acid. The more sweets you eat, the more acid is made. The acid eats through the enamel, making a hole. Decay starts to spread. A dentist can stop the rot. If you go to him quickly enough, he can fill the hole. But if the decay has gone too far, he will only be able to pull out the tooth.

How to keep away from decayed teeth? If you cut down on sweet food, less plaque will form. If you brush your teeth well, much of the plaque which does form will be brushed away. If you visit the dentist often, he will keep a close check on your teeth, He will fill holes as soon as they appear. Then your smile at 40 won’t be very different from you smile at 14! And you won’t have to keep your teeth in a glass overnight!

Consequences of not brushing your teeth For starters, not brushing your teeth will result in a build-up of plaque on and in between your teeth. Plaque and bacteria build-up can very rapidly cause bad breath. Some bad breath, or halitosis, is caused by health and digestive problems that are rooted deeper than just not brushing your teeth but most people can make a big difference in ridding themselves of bad breath by brushing (and flossing) on a regular basis. Over time the plaque build-up, especially if you smoke or drink a lot of caffeinated beverages, will cause a substantial discoloration of your teeth. This discoloration is going to inevitably causes problems for you relationally. You will find yourself not wanting to talk with people or smile at them which can make relating to people on a personal and professional level very difficult.

Brushing your teeth everyday leads to happiness
