Customer needs assessment We asked Harpinder madan, Co- founder of Fiber tower technologies (San Francisco) to help us design a futuristic ceiling for his office. What is that you expect out of your office space? - Spacious, simple yet aesthetic What level of security system you have in your office? - Standard office security system What qualities you look for in a ceiling? - Should contain all the basic features like lights, camera and should be visually good. What is the office space for your subordinates? - There are cubicles with the required amenities. Do you feel there is something lacking in your current design for the office space? - Lack of privacy, one can overhear each other in the cubicle.

Motion Sensor  Turns on when somebody walks in the room.  Connected to the touch panel which has as a data logging program which turns the light on.  Functioning can be altered through the touch panel.

Touch Panel  Regulates the temperature of the room.  Controls the lighting and directional sound system  Working interface with integrated computer  Touch based- easy to use.

Emergency speaker  Acts as an alarm  Acts as a loudspeaker for announcements  Works with the fire alarm system

Sprinkler System  Integrated infrared sensor, which detects excessive heat and turns on the sprinkler.  Uni-directional; hits the affected part of the room  Prevents valuable office supplies, such as a computer or other office equipment from getting wet and ruined.

Directional Speakers  Located above each cubicle  Removes sound disturbances  Sound Focusing Technology  Adaptable

Sound Dome  Noise reduction system  Made of a materials that deaden sound waves  High Noise Reduction Coefficient(NRC)  Placed over cubicles to keep sound in the room down  -Good system has at least 80%  Dome shape used to contain sound  Different look to the room  Makes the room feel more spacious

Fiber Optics System  Fiber Optics use one source of light  Light then directed to one of 4 panels  One box lights up 4 cubicles  Fiber Optics use less energy  One light is spread between multiple areas

 Fiber Optic Cables clustered together  Placed along reflective strip  Cables angled inwards

Fiber Optic Lights Beams need to cross to produce more light Panels angle light inwards Light also hits cubicle walls and lights them up

THANK YOU Questions ?
