National Environmental, Safety and Health Training Association

NESHTA… is the “doing business as” name for the National Environmental Training Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational and professional membership association was founded in 1977 by (primarily) community college wastewater operator training specialists, with help from the U.S. EPA Office of Water has since expanded membership to include all EHS training specialties.

NESHTA is the only international, educational and professional society for specialists who develop design deliver manage environmental, occupational safety and health, and all related training.

NESHTA members subscribe to the belief that competent training is a cost- effective tool for… assuring worker safety and health protecting our environment achieving regulatory compliance

NESHTA's primary mission is to promote and support trainer competency through personal skills training promoting professional certification applying national and international standards continuing professional development and education

Our secondary mission is to support members in their training by… instructing and assisting in developing new EHS trainers developing and delivering continuing education encouraging the U.S. government, state and local entities to understand, promote and support competent EHS training.
