GEOGRAPHY OF NORTH CAROLINA By: Henry Russell North Carolina is a wonderful state with 3 regions. In this text, you will be learning about the Piedmont and the Coastal Plain regions. NC has a population of 9,848 people.

The Piedmont Region  This region is the home of the state capital, “Raleigh.” This has the government for the whole state. You will find cities in this region including Charlotte, the biggest city in NC, and many more wonderful cities.

Celebrations in the Piedmont Region  There are a ton of different celebrations in this region national and local celebration.  National Celebrations  The NC State Fair, at this celebration you get to enjoy rides, games, food, that’s the NC State Fair.

The Coastal Plain Region  In the Coastal Plain region, you can go to wonderful beaches including Carolina and Wrightsville beaches. Some exotic locations there are in this region are NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the Battleship of NC and many more locations.
