Application Tips When filling in application forms, the first thing you should do is READ every question before you write anything. Make sure you understand what the question is asking!!!

Application Tips When you have finished, check everything! Have you answered all the questions, and have you answered them correctly and neatly?

Application Tips Complete all requested information. Don't leave anything blank. If you don't know the details, bring the application home and return it when it's completed. Write clearly and neatly, using black or blue ink. Check for spelling and grammatical errors. Proofread your job application form before turning it in.

Application Tips List your most recent job first when completing employment information. List your most recent education first. Include vocational schools and training programs as well as college and high school.

Application Tips References don't necessarily have to be professional. If you have volunteered you can use members of the organizations that you have helped or if you are a student use your teachers. In all cases, ask for permission prior to using the person for a reference. Don't forget to sign your application!

Phone Interview You'll notice that a large number of them ask applicants to apply for the job by telephone. It can be VERY EASY for you to make a poor impression on the telephone, especially when you have no visual idea of how your message is being received (as you might have when you are face to face with someone).

Phone Interview The most important thing to do before you rush off and make a phone call, is to thoroughly prepare: 1. your opening line/s 2. your answers to possible questions, and 3. some questions to ask.

Phone Interview ALSO, make sure you have copy of your resume handy! It is truly amazing how many people can forget simple information such as their age, phone number or address, when they are under the stress of a telephone interview.
