The Number of Deaths and Injured SITUATION

1.Send more than 30,000 soldiers from the central part into the conflict area.

Soldiers’ duties. Give protection to people and government officers especially teachers who always be the target Patrol, check on and arrest separatists in different areas Give villagers vocational knowledge and skills

What happened after the soldier came into the conflict area? Government officers and people got more protection but most of the time the soldiers themselves are the target of attacks. So, people and officers are more scared to be with them. Many people were arrested, some with guilt and some are innocent. Some soldiers used violent tactics against the villagers such as Takbai event. There is mistrust between and among the villagers when the soldiers hire someone in the village to be their spies.

Soldiers were attacked by Separatists.

Muslim civilians got arrested by soldiers.

People protested against Thai soldiers.
