Refilling of Fixed Fire Suppression Cylinders Firetron is equipped & trained carry out the refilling of fixed fire suppression cylinders including; CO2 NOVEC 1230 FM200 HALON 1301 (for marine & military use only) INERGEN & ARGONITE / ARGOTECH (can be arranged)

Servicing & Refilling of Portable Fire Extinguishers. Major servicing & refilling of the Portable Fire Extinguishers is Carried out by certified personnel.

We are Equipped & trained to assist you with the supply, maintenance & refilling of all dry chemical powder, water & foam stored pressure extinguishers & trolley units. A CO 2 refilling station can be set up to use in conjunction with a cascade of 45kg CO 2 cylinders to refill Portable CO 2 Extinguishers. (Large 45kg cylinders would be sent to a gas company with a large bulk tank for refilling) Refilling of Portable Fire Extinguishers.

Fire Hoses & Foam Systems. We also carry out the annual pressure testing of the Fire Hoses and Foam Sample Analysis including PH level, refractive index & drainage time to determine quality of the foam. Ensuring that the foam is within the tolerance levels as set out by the manufacturer.

Fire Detection Systems. Supply installation & maintenance on various makes of Fire Detection Systems we carry out fault finding & repairs for both addressable systems & conventional systems

Public Address & Evacuation Systems. Supply, installation & maintenance on various makes of public address & evacuation systems.

Hydrostatic Testing Hydrostatic test station can be set up so that all SCBA Cylinders, Portable Fire Extinguishers & Fixed System High Pressure Hoses could be Hydrostatic tested..

After passing Hydrostatic testing if required the cylinders could be refurbished. Refurbishing of Fixed Suppression Cylinders & Fire Extinguishers

SCBA TESTING To comply with the NFPA 1852 (National Fire Prevention Association) regulations & EN137 all Self Contained Breathing Apparatus equipment must be tested with a breathing machine (Posicheck 3) annually. Firetron are the only SCOTT USA & SCOTT UK (Sabre) authorized service centre for Southern & West Africa. Our team are also trained & equipped to assist you with other makes of SCBA including; Drager & MSA SCBA units.

POSICHECK-3 The Posicheck3 is used to carry out the computerized dynamic testing of all Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) including masks, high pressure & low pressure regulators. This unit, is able to carry out the annual tests in accordance with both the manufactures & NFPA / EN Standards. On completion of the Posicheck dynamic testing a report is generated by the systems software. All SCBA units can then be repaired and re-tested as necessary. Once all tests are completed to within the manufactures specifications the systems software will print the annual certificate of compliance.

Training Our engineers would be more than happy to carry out training & operation instruction to on site personnel; Fixed Fire Suppression Systems (general & system specific). Correct use of portable fire extinguishers. User operation of Fire Detection systems. (general & system specific). SCBA Operational function checks and correct donning procedure. User operation of Portable Gas Detectors (general & unit specific). H2S training & Certification.

Approvals Firetron Systems the South African based business partner currently holds the following approvals; ABS- American Bureau of Shipping BV- Bureau Veritas. SAMSA – South African Maritime Safety Authority. USCG – United States Coast Guard. (limited) We have an agreement with USCG that Providing USCG present during inspection of the Fixed Systems we may carry out servicing on USCG approved Vessels.
