Three: Curricular Diversity Concentrations (available by application to continuing students only) –Engineering/ICS in the Global Context (study/internship outside of the U.S.) Bren ICS Minors* –Bioinformatics: contributes to students' competence in computing applied to biomedical problems and data, as well as exposing them to the fundamentals of the life sciences from a computer science perspective. –Digital Information Systems –Health Informatics: prepares students to understand the expanding role of information technology (IT) in health care and to participate in creating IT solutions to health care issues. –Informatics –Information and Computer Science –Statistics * Some minor requirements may be fulfilled by the Bren ICS student’s major requirements.
